2/2/2024 0 Comments Adobe camera raw profiles![]() At this point, I have had just about a month to experiment with them, and I am very pleased to say that these new profiles are amazing. In today’s tutorial, I want to give you some insight on the profiles in Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom. So let’s dive a little deeper into these profiles. In less than seven months ACR and Lightroom have received massive updates that are extremely valuable. In April of 2018, they changed the way profiles interact with our images. Let’s go back to September of 2017, it doesn’t seem that long ago, right? Well in October Adobe put Luminosity Masking in the Local Adjustment tools and brought us a KILLER upgrade to the auto button. It didn’t disrupt it in a bad way, it just tweaked some things and changed my mentality on what a “solid foundation” for my images is. ![]() The latest updates to ACR and Lightroom dropped a bomb on my workflow! Man, I love my workflow, but just when I think I have it down, I learn something new or something new hits the streets. Of those two, my main concern is my workflow. In the filmstrip, select the image from which you wish to copy settings then in the dropdown menu (point at this image and click on the three dots) select Copy Selected Edit Settings (Note the keyboard shortcut if you intend to use this lots.) 3. The nervous part is two-fold… is it going to be stable and will it change my bulletproof workflow? Choose import presets Navigate to where you saved your zip file and choose it. Go to 'Presets' In the top right corner, click the three dots icon and choose Import Profiles & Presets. I love innovation, and I believe Adobe keeps on innovating, and that is the exciting part. The first step to install presets to do colour grading in Camera Raw is to leave your download as a zip file and in ACR, go to Presets. ![]() Anytime Adobe creates an update to their programs I am always excited and nervous at the same time.
